I’m Jo, a YA Fantasy author writing lyrical, character-driven stories set in vintage worlds where shadows whisper, magic flickers, and danger lurks beneath the surface. And when I’m not writing about wounded protagonists with hopeful hearts, I’m a care professional supporting vulnerable young people and adults.

Back in my teens, I was a shy kid who never really fit in, and when things got lonely, I turned to fiction for comfort. Stories of brave characters stumbling into strange worlds and forming unlikely friendships have always been my inspiration, and along the way in life I realised a couple of things - we all possess storybook courage, and new friends can appear when we least expect them.

 

Now, I write my own stories where unforgettable characters await to charm hearts and raise spirits (literally if they happen to be a brooding necromancer).
